Guess what! It's realistic fiction book time!!! So I just finished this great book called Twisted and it's written by Laurie Halse Anderson. The book is about high-school senior Tyler, and his life is pretty twisted. After vandalizing his school to become a popular kid, Tyler gets caught and has to do hours of community service. Over the summer, Tyler gets pretty ripped because of all the hard work he's been doing, catching the eye of the hottest girl in school.(Who is the girl Tyler has been crushing on for years) Tyler's life starts to get a little better... but there's a few problems: The girl that is eyeing Tyler is the daughter of Tyler's dad's boss, and Tyler's dad is verbally abusive so Tyler pretty much hates him. Next, Tyler's mom is an alcoholic. And last, ever since Tyler vandalized his school, a lot of kids see him as dangerous and all of the adults in his life are suspicious of him.
