Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've written one of these. It's Raven. Victoria and I got locked out of our account for a while. But we're back now! Today I will be reviewing a book called Paper Towns by John Green. Enjoy!
When Quiten (Q) was younger he was best friends with Margo Roth Speigalman. One day they were exploring a park by the woods and they found a dead person. Now, a few years later, Q is a senior in high school and him and Margot hardly ever speak. She had become very popular and had left Q behind. But one night as Q was about to go to bed Margot jumped through his window with $1000 and told him she needed someone to drive her around. They spent a night pulling pranks on people and breaking laws. Q thought that their friendship had been restored. But soon Margot goes missing. But she leaves behind a few clues where to find her. Can Q find Margot before something bad happens? Read the book and find out. This book includes humor, drama, romance, and mystery. This is definitely one of my favorite books that I have read lately. It was very funny and I was hanging onto every word. I couldn't put it down. This book is not for young children though. It has some bad language and a few inappropriate (yet extremely funny) scenes. I hope you enjoyed this book review on Paper Towns by John Green.

Hey It's Raven! Victoria and I both have a love for books so we thought "Hey, why not make a blog?" And that's exactly what we did. We love dystopian books so you may see a lot of them. Not a fan of dystopian books? Don't worry we'll have books from all different genres. And feel free to leave suggestions in the comments. Thank you. Enjoy!

Twisted
Guess what! It's realistic fiction book time!!! So I just finished this great book called Twisted and it's written by Laurie Halse Anderson. The book is about high-school senior Tyler, and his life is pretty twisted. After vandalizing his school to become a popular kid, Tyler gets caught and has to do hours of community service. Over the summer, Tyler gets pretty ripped because of all the hard work he's been doing, catching the eye of the hottest girl in school.(Who is the girl Tyler has been crushing on for years) Tyler's life starts to get a little better... but there's a few problems: The girl that is eyeing Tyler is the daughter of Tyler's dad's boss, and Tyler's dad is verbally abusive so Tyler pretty much hates him. Next, Tyler's mom is an alcoholic. And last, ever since Tyler vandalized his school, a lot of kids see him as dangerous and all of the adults in his life are suspicious of him. (Oh, and did I forget to mention that the girl Tyler likes has a jerk twin brother who hates him?) Does this sound interesting to you? Wanna know what's gonna happen to Tyler? Well read Twisted to find out! WARNING: CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT AND STRONG LANGUAGE, ALSO IS VERY ADDICTIVE, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. -Victoria

The Raft
Alright, next book: The Raft, by S. A. Boden (Not to be confused with "The Raft" by Stephen King, ugh! Creepy!) So guess what! This IS NOT A DYSTOPIAN BOOK!!!!! Can you believe it?! I bet you can't! ;) na, this book is realistic fiction and it takes place in present day. The main character's name is Robbie, and she lives on Midway island. She's grown up by the sea, and she probably knows just as much about sea creatures as an amateur scientist... but she's never been a big fan of swimming. Anyway, Robbie likes to travel to her aunt's apartment in Hawaii a lot when her parents are busy working. One night when she's there, her aunt gets a phone call and says that she has to go on a business trip, therefore Robbie has to go home! But Robbie convinces her aunt that she can handle being alone for just a few days. Well, something happens when her aunt is away that causes Robbie to change her mind. So Robbie goes and catches the next plane home. The plane crashes. Now Robbie is alone of a raft floating in the middle of the ocean with nothing but a passed out co-pilot, and a King Size bag of Skittles (TASTE THE RAINBOW!) What will become of Robbie?! Read The Raft by S. A. Boden to find out! -Victoria
Pulse
Here's yet another dystopian book for you! Ok, this book is called Pulse and it's written by Patrick Carman. I haven't finished this book yet, and it's kinda hard to explain so I'm just gonna write what it says on the back of the book. "In the year 2051, who has a Pulse? With the help of her mysterious classmate Dylan Gilmore, Faith Daniels discovers she can move objects with her mind. This telekinetic ability is called a 'Pulse', and Dylan has the talent, too. In riveting action scenes, Faith demonstrates her ability to use her Pulse against a group of telekinesis masters who are so powerful they can fell their enemies by uprooting streetlights, throwing boulders, and changing the course of a hurling hammer so that it becomes a dangerous weapon. But even with her unusual talent, the mind-and the-heart can be difficult to control. If Faith wants to join forces with Dylan and save the world, she'll have to harness the power of both." Didn't sound interesting enough for you? Then you should totally take my word for it, this is an awesome book!!! And it isn't as dorky as it might seem. Great read, hope you like it, don't forget to leave comments! I haven't been seeing them lately! -Victoria

Matched
I lately read the book Matched and absolutely loved it, so I thought it would be a great book to write about. Cassia lives in a "perfect" world where the society decides everything. What you eat, who you will marry, when you'll go on dates and when you'll die. Cassia is 16 so it's time for her matching banquet. "What's that?" You might be wondering. A matching banquet is where they tell you who you are going to marry and spend your life with. At the matching banquet Cassia gets matched to her best friend Xander so she thinks that's perfect, Until suddenly someone else's face pops up on the screen. His name is Ky and Cassia has never talked to him but she recognizes him. The society says that it was just a glitch and that she is matched to Xander. A couple days later Cassia meets Ky. They start hanging out and she soon starts to like him. She finds out the he is an abberation so he will not get matched and when he dies he does not get a funeral. Cassia isn't sure if she wants to be with Xander or Ky. Want to know who she chooses? Read Matched by Allie Condie

Divergent Series
Imagine a world that's split up into 5 factions. Abnegation, Dauntless, Erudite, Conroy, and Amity. Each faction has it's own belief. Abnegation believes in selflessness. Dauntless believes in bravery. Conroy believes in never lying. Amity believes in peace.
Beatrice (Tris) has grown up in Abnegation with her brother (Caleb) and parents. She is a 16 year old girl. In this dystopian world when you are 16 you have to take a test to see which faction you belong in. It is the day of Tris's and Caleb's test. Caleb goes first. When Caleb takes the test it says that he belongs in Erudite. But his family hates the Erudite for writing lies about them. Does this cause conflict for him? Oh yeah. But when Tris takes the test her results come back as... Divergent?! What is Divergent? Divergent is when you can be in more than one faction. But you can't tell anyone because they may use it against you or try to kill you. But anyway Tris could be in the factions Dauntless, Abnegation, and Erudite. She has only one night to decide which faction to be in.
When she gets to the choosing ceremony she still hasn't chosen a faction! She watches other people as they cut their hands and let the blood drip into the bowl for the faction they want to join. When it is her turn she cuts her hand and drips the blood into the Dauntless bowl. But will she regret choosing Dauntless? Or will it be the best decision she has ever made?
Next she has to pass initiation. Only 20 people can pass and it is very dangerous. You could die from jumping off a moving train onto a roof or even jumping off that roof. And if you don't make it past initiation you have no faction. The worst thing Tris could imagine is being factionless. During initiation Tris meets Four and instantly falls in love. But will she pass initiation and will things work out with Four? Read Divergent by Veronica Roth and find out!
There are currently 3 books in the Divergent series.
